Libraries Programme

SVG is committed to efforts made in the field of education by our district's educational institutions. Our contribution incorporates the reactivation of some of our local libraries, through the provision of material (books, maintenance) and human resources (volunteers). This input wants to add to traditional sources of education (schools, family) which usually, and particularly in a rural setting, lack the access to organized information. These libraries aspire to become both a public resource and responsibility.

CHARACTERISTICS of the programmes:
Placement period is between one and six months, renewable.
The prospective volunteer must be fluent in English.
You can choose the setting of your placement, rural or urban area.
Volunteers will organize their own transport in and out of Ghana, as well as visa procedures at Ghana Embassies in the respective countries of origin.
